Firstly... Esu is not Satan or devil.
He is a messenger of Olodumare. The owner of the crossroads. The one at the beginning and the end. The one in front and at the back. He is the gate keeper. The owner of the roads. The watcher, The karma, The accountant. The one that pave the way. The fun friend and master. He is the key that locks and unlock the doors.
ESU has no free initiative; it only reflects your desires. it assimilates everything that your medium vibrates. When there is no way... ESU appears, for to him there is no mistake. it either instigates you to meet your desires or induces you to meet other people's needs what is wrong for one is right for another.
